For over 160 years, Lutheran Senior Services has been at the forefront of exceptional quality services with a faith-inspired, mission-driven focus. Every senior we serve, each family member and friend, and every single team member who works alongside us is unique, with life experience, wisdom, gifts, and talents to be honored, cherished, and celebrated. We are also grateful for both national and local partnerships who support us in our Christian mission – from church partners to other not-for-profit organizations. Together We Are LSS Strong
Despite the challenges COVID-19 presents, Lutheran Senior Services communities are standing tall and will emerge even stronger thanks to our 160-year legacy of excellence and most of all to the people – staff, residents, and family members – who make up our communities.
Lived out every day
At Lutheran Senior Services, our history is long. Our mission is inspired by the words of Jesus, where he encourages us to live life to the fullest. This applies to every age and every stage of life. When we’re fulfilled by what we do and valued for exactly who we are, it makes a world of difference. Lutheran Senior Services creates opportunities for older adults, as well as our staff members, to achieve their utmost potential — physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
Mission with momentum
We serve a diverse population through services that range from Life Plan Communities that offer a full continuum of care to REACH Short Stay Rehabilitation, Affordable Housing, Home & Community Based Services, and Outreach Services. We foster independence and promote active living by providing purposeful engagement and solutions that make sense for each individual person.
Our roots run deep and are built on a strong foundation of faith and financial stability. As one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit senior living networks, there’s a difference in the way we do business. Profits are reinvested in our communities and services, not the pockets of shareholders. Reserves from the high-yielding years are set aside for the lean years. Our financially sound structure provides stability and allows us to support a highly qualified team of employees with a heart for living our mission — Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest (John 10:10).
