Spiritual well-being is at the heart of the work of Lutheran Senior Services, as we tend to the mind, body, and soul of each resident we serve. We honor and cherish those in our care and welcome people of all faiths, respecting their beliefs, and helping them stay in touch with their personal faith practices.
Nurturing the Spirit in Older Adults
Ordained or commissioned Chaplains at each of our communities are available 24 hours a day, providing spiritual care for residents, families, and staff. In addition to one-on-one support, Chaplains also provide:
- weekly worship services
- Bible study
- grief support
- private communion
- coordination of denominational services, including Catholic Mass
Nurturing the Spirit through Pastoral Education
Lutheran Senior Services offers one of the few training programs for Chaplains administered by a senior living provider. The Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program trains Chaplains and spiritual caregivers through hands-on experience at various LSS senior living communities.
To apply for the CPE program or to request a stipend request form, please see the Clinical Pastoral Education page.
