The new Wellness Center at Lutheran Hillside Village, a Lutheran Senior Services (LSS) Life Plan Community in Peoria, Illinois, just keeps providing more opportunities for residents. Most recently the opening of the onsite medical clinic gives residents a convenient option for preventative care and treatment for a variety of medical issues.
“Having a medical clinic here brings us peace of mind,” said Jim Mueller, Lutheran Hillside Village resident and president of the resident association board. “This is one more piece to the whole that makes Lutheran Hillside Village a great place to live.”
The Cy and Kay Fahnestock Medical Clinic is operated in partnership with OSF Healthcare. Services provided at the clinic include treatment for ailments such as colds, allergies, back pain, sprains, and much more. In addition, the clinic offers primary care and chronic disease management along with telehealth services. Lutheran Hillside Village residents can make an appointment at the clinic. Walk-in appointments are also available.
“Having a medical clinic on site to serve our residents and staff members is an important part of wellness,” said Shelly Heiden, Lutheran Hillside Village executive director. “We are blessed to have a partnership with OSF Healthcare and are truly grateful to the Fahnestocks for making the medical clinic a reality.”
The medical clinic is part of the new Wilson Wellness Center at Lutheran Hillside Village. The wellness center gives residents more ways to live their lives to the fullest. Amenities at the center include an indoor saltwater pool, fitness and exercise rooms, a walking track, culinary arts kitchen, community room, and a theatre.
“Lutheran Hillside Village is a friendly, easy going place,” added Mueller. “The wellness center is going to be at the center of that moving forward.”
